Charli XCX Portrays a Dark Alter Ego of Herself in Fictional Documentary First Look

The celebrated musician is preparing for a substantial cinematic appearance in 2026, starting with the mockumentary titled The Moment.

Throughout the movie, the artist plays what she refers to as a hell version of her own persona.

It’s the realest depiction of the entertainment world that I’ve ever encountered, the performer remarked.

She elaborated in a conversation: This isn’t a concert film, however the inspiration came from the expectation to produce one.

A Glimpse into The Project

The initial preview, released on this week, mixes real clips from her recent tour with imagined off-stage interactions.

The mockumentary is helmed and co-scripted by her collaborator, who shared that the plot centers on a world where the artist made entirely different choices throughout the marketing of her chart-topping release Brat.

Additionally, she agreed to feature in the star’s maiden directing project A Tree in Blue.
