"I've barely raced this season so it was likely less of a struggle for me to compete and want to give it something," stated Hodgkinson.
"The atmosphere at the event is incredible so it was extremely enjoyable."
The women-only meet packed the stadium in its second edition, introducing a party atmosphere to traditional track, with live music and Tiffany & Co. crowns replacing standard medals.
The 23-times tennis major winner Serena Williams, who is married to the founder of Athlos Alexis Ohanian, was present to present the winners with their tiaras.
Previous champions took home sixty thousand dollars (£44,603) - one of the largest prize purses in athletics.
The event also drew several top athletes, as Kenya's three-time Olympic gold medallist and world record holder Faith Kipyegon won the mile, finishing in 4:17.78.
The US Brittany Brown, the 200m bronze medallist from the recent Paris Games, won the sprint double.
